BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Fall 2022 Academic All-Conference honorees, with Carleton College student-athletes earning distinction 81 times in the sports of cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball.
To qualify for Academic All-MIAC status, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior by academic standards with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Students must also have completed one full-time academic year at their current institution prior to becoming eligible for the honor.
Athletes must also be:
• be a member of a MIAC-sponsored varsity sports team and be both academically and athletically eligible.
• have utilized a season of participation per NCAA and MIAC definitions as well as remained on the sports roster through the conclusion of the sports season.
A total of 42 Knights garnered repeat selections to the Academic All-MIAC team, with 20 of those Knights capturing the award for at least the third time in the same sport, including three members of the football team that took home recognition for the fourth time.
