WHAT I MOST LIKE ABOUT CARLETON IS…
I love how gorgeous the campus is--it's incredibly walkable and so beautiful that I want to be outside all the time. I feel welcomed by the community--other classmates, professors, and faculty; people genuinely care about others and want to make connections.
OFF-CAMPUS STUDY PROGRAM(S) PARTICIPATED IN AT CARLETON:
Studio Art in the South Pacific
MY OFF-CAMPUS STUDY PROGRAM ENHANCED MY EXPERIENCE AS A CARLETON STUDENT-ATHLETE BECAUSE…
I was able to develop my own interests in art and foster skills like self-sufficiency and independence while also forging bonds with the people on the OCS. I carried those relationships and experiences with me through my academics and my personal development.
INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
I worked in the Secure Base Counseling Center where I completed their internship program, which consists of trainings and shadowing opportunities that qualify me to practice as a Mental Health Practitioner. I am majoring in Psychology and I'm interested in counseling, so this internship was great for me because I got to learn more about current therapeutic practices and see the things I'm learning in school applied in the real world.
HOBBIES:
I like to read, crochet, draw, paint, and watch shows
PERSON(S) WHO HAD THE MOST INFLUENCE ON MY ATHLETIC CAREER:
My mom--she always encouraged me and pushed me to work hard and go after what I wanted. She drove me to all my practices and tournaments when I was younger, and she has been my biggest supporter.
