Knights earn 118 Academic All-Conference awards for winter/spring 2025

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Winter/Spring 2025 Academic All-Conference honorees, with Carleton College student-athletes earning distinction 118 times in the sports of baseball, basketball, golf, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, and track & field.
 
To qualify for Academic All-MIAC status, student-athletes must:
• be a sophomore, junior, or senior by academic standards.
• have a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• complete at least one full-time academic year at their current institution prior to becoming eligible for the honor.
• be a member of a MIAC-sponsored varsity sports team and be both academically and athletically eligible.
• have utilized a season of participation per NCAA and MIAC definitions as well as remained on the sports roster through the conclusion of the sports season.
 
Women's Swimming & Diving led the way for Carleton with 21 Academic All-MIAC honorees. Men's Track & Field was next with 19 selections. Baseball and Men's Swimming & Diving had 17 award winners each, while Women's Track & Field (11) and Softball (10) also had double-digit recipients.
 
A total of 71 Knights garnered repeat selections to the Academic All-MIAC team, with 26 of those Knights capturing the award for the third time in the same sport.
