The Student-Athletic Advisory Committee system, founded in 1989 by the NCAA, is an integral advising body for Division III. SAAC is a student-run committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience, promote athletics, provide community service, and offer input on NCAA legislation and voting. The NCAA requires that every member institution and athletic conference have a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
At Carleton College, we seek to serve the NCAA Varsity programs that shape the college experiences of over 400 student-athletes and represent these athletes both on the Carleton campus and in the Northfield community. Carleton's SAAC is composed of 9 Executive Board students committed to serving and supporting each and every student-athlete throughout their four years as a Knight.
Carleton SAAC meetings are from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th weeks each term. Check the Carleton SAAC social media and email reminders for the most accurate meeting locations.
