What Is SAAC?

The Student-Athletic Advisory Committee system, founded in 1989 by the NCAA, is an integral advising body for the Division III. SAAC is a student-run committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience, promote athletics, provide community service, and offer input on NCAA legislation. The NCAA requires that every member institution and athletic conference have a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

At Carleton College, we seek to serve the Varsity programs that shape the college experiences of over 400 student-athletes and represent these athletes on the Carleton campus and in the Northfield community. Carleton's SAAC is comprised of over 50 Student-athletes (at least 2 representatives from each of Carleton's 20 sports) and is organized by an 8-member Executive Board.

Meetings

Carleton SAAC meetings are from 12:15-1:00 p.m. on the Thursday of 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th weeks each term (location TBA).
