After Carleton I plan to pursue a PhD in Marine Biology and become a professor.

INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
In the summer of 2022 I participated in a Carleton research project in Puno, Peru where our group conducted field work and surveyed archaeological sites. In summer of 2023 I worked in a biomedical engineering lab at the University of Washington where I shadowed a PhD student and conducted an independent research project. These experiences helped me refine what I hope to pursue after graduation. From these experiences I realized my love for research in an academic/lab setting and also determined that my interest in biology is stronger in the animal/marine area than in human medical research.
