National Rankings: Women's Soccer, Women's Cross Country, and Women's Golf

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Three Carleton College squads are currently listed among the nation's top-15 teams in their respective sports.

Women's Soccer is No. 9 in the initial NCAA Power Index (NPI), which is used to determine the 21 at-large bids to the 64-team NCAA Championships at season's end. The Knights are 8-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 (tied for first place) in the MIAC. Carleton has won its last five matches and comes in at No. 24 in the latest United Soccer Coaches national rankings.

Women's Cross Country moved up one spot to No. 10 in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll. Despite racing without two of their top three runners, the Knights finished fourth out of 36 teams at the Blugold Invitational last weekend.

Women's Golf came in at No. 13 in the most recent Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll. Since then, the Knights crushed the field and established new 18-, 36-, and 54-hole scoring records en route to winning the MIAC Championships and clinching a berth in the NCAA Championships in May.

Additionally, men's golf received votes in the latest Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) top-25 poll, while both men's cross country and men's soccer have been regionally ranked at various points this fall.
