I CHOSE TO COME TO CARLETON BECAUSE…
I came to Carleton because it has a great chemistry program and is known for sending people to graduate school.
WHAT I MOST LIKE ABOUT CARLETON IS…
The rigorous academics and the great people.
INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
While at Carleton, I interned with 3M, NASA, and Infinite Material Solutions, as well as doing research in a faculty lab here at Carleton.
MY INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ENHANCED MY EXPERIENCE AS A CARLETON STUDENT-ATHLETE BECAUSE…
Throughout all of these experiences, I picked up valuable skills and info that helped guide me towards my current career path in materials science. At 3M and NASA I learned some basic information on materials science and how it is applied to each organization’s products. At Infinite Materials Solutions I did more advanced materials research, looking at polymers and their applications to 3D printing and injection molding. In my research at Carleton I looked into selective catalytic cleavage of carbon-hydrogen bonds. These experiences helped me narrow in on my true career goals and helped guide the classes I took and connections I made throughout my four years at Carleton.
