NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Nearly 30 former Knights returned to campus to compete against the current Carleton College men's and women's swimming and diving teams at the annual Intrasquad/Alumni Meet.
"Once again, we had a great turnout of alumni for this meet," said head coach
Andy Clark. "They always do a fantastic job bringing enthusiasm and good energy, which gets the current swimmers and divers fired up for the upcoming season. I cannot think of a better way for our teams to kick off the season"
One of the day's many highlights was a great backstroke race between
Maddie Damberg-Ott (Jr./London, Great Britain/Channing School) and her mother, Kate Damberg '81, who is a Carleton 'C' Club Hall of Fame Inductee and the first national swimmer for women's team.
