NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Four Carleton College women were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for cross country and track & field.
Hannah Preisser '26 was selected for the Academic All-District Team for the third straight year, while
Willa Bishop '28,
Caroline Kelleher '28, and
Charlotte Kusch '28 each took home their first CSC honor.
To be nominated for the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50; must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing; and must have turned in a top-50 individual performance in the region (for cross country, this would be at the regional meet, for track & field, this would be based off of TFRRS performance list rankings for the region.)
Preisser, a mathematics major, concluded her senior season with her fifth career All-America award, finishing 14th in the 10,000-meter run at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She was the North Region champion for cross country and paced the region in the indoor 5,000-meter run in addition to being regionally ranked at the indoor 3,000-meter (9th) and indoor mile (20th) distances. Preisser was regionally-ranked in a trio of outdoor events as well: the 10K (fourth), 5,000-meter run (eighth) and 1500-meter run (43rd). Her first three career All-America awards came after top-15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2022 (15th), 2023 (14th) and 2024 (seventh). She added an eighth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships. Preisser totaled nine Nationals appearances overall, including leading the Knights to the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships team title. She totaled 13 All-Region honors over her career, was a six-time MIAC Champion, and took home 18 All-Conference honors.
Bishop, a psychology major, fought through injury during the season but still ranked 42nd in the region for the javelin
Kelleher, a biology major, was regionally-ranked in five events this year: the indoor pentathlon (35th) and high jump (48th) in addition to the heptathlon (28th), 400-meter hurdles (34th), and pole vault (38th) during the outdoor season.
Kusch, a political science & international relations major, was regionally-ranked for the 800-meter run. She was listed 19th during the outdoor season and 36th for the indoor slate, where she collected All-Conference recognition.
