NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College women's track & field program sent 10 athletes to compete at the St. Olaf Ole Open, the final tune-up before the MIAC Outdoor Championships.
Jillian Muglia was the runner up in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.29. She also placed fifth in the long jump at 5.05 meters and finished ninth in the 100-meter dash at a season-best 13.15.
Sophie Syverson took third in the 400-meter hurdle race, crossing the line at 1:12.71. She added a seventh-place finish in the pole vault after clearing 2.90 meters.
Bianca Lott was Carleton's top finisher in the short sprints, taking sixth in the 100-meter dash (12.87) and seventh in the 200-meter race (PR of 26.69).
Alice Islam was eighth at both distances, finishing at 12.95 and 26.76, respectively.
Claire Miyoshi placed eighth in the long jump with a distance of 4.75 meters and posted a personal-best time of 13.95 in the 100-meter dash.
Ellen Stumbo (2:28.33) and
Sydney Mielcarski (2:28.35) both registered personal-best times in the 800-meter run as they finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 17-runner field.
Clara Peikert was 10th in the 1500-meter run, covering the distance in 5:19.60.
Willa Bishop took ninth in the discus, measuring a distance of 35.21 meters on her first attempt of the day.
Parker Collins capped her day with a distance of 9.38 on her final attempt in the triple jump.

Carleton heads to the MIAC Outdoor Championships, which will be held at St. Olaf on May 8-9.
