ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Carleton College women's track & field team competed on Wednesday at the Joe Sweeney Invitational hosted by the University of St. Thomas.
The meet included student-athletes from 17 schools, including a trio of NCAA Division I teams and three other Division II programs.
Lauren Tittel was the runner up in the 28-runner field for the 1500-meter run, clocking a personal-best time of 4:34.50 that moved her into the No. 6 slot in program history.
Amelia Campbell (11:13.21),
Nina Peterson (11:38.90) and
Nicole Peterson (11:44.91) were the top three NCAA Division III finishers in the 3000-meter steeplechase. The trio placed third, sixth, and seventh, respectively, as they each notched new PRs in the event. The 14-runner field included six NCAA D-I runners.
Other top-10 finishers for Carleton:

Willa Bishop was the top D-III performer and placed fourth overall in the javelin with a distance of 32.62 meters.

Parker Collins took sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.68 meters.

Charlotte Kusch, Bishop,
Madeleine Reckmeyer, and
Sierra Mielcarski combined on a season-best time of 4:13.88.

Ava Brosam placed eighth in the pole vault after clearing 3.17 meters.

Sophie Syverson took ninth in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best of 17.75.

Carleton hosts the MIAC Heptathlon on April 30-May 1. The first event on Thursday is slated to start at 12:30 p.m.
