ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track & field team concluded the Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational with 19 top-10 results, including a pair of event victories. The Knights finished fourth of 12 teams in the team competition.
 
Torte Torstenson won the 3000-meter steeplechase on Saturday with a personal-best time of 9:37.39. Gus Schafer took third in the event after establishing a PR of 9:53.30.
 
Friday night saw Gabe Nichols win the 5000-meter run with a season-best time of 14:55.37. Travis Brown (fourth, PR of 15:21.27), Dashiell Coyier (fifth, 15:21.55), and Simon Chambers-Trubatch (eighth, PR of 15:35.41) also had top-10 results in the event.
 
Soren Kaster took fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.95.
 
Asher Nathan placed seventh in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line at 22.80.
 
James Alexander, Nathan, and Isaac Robertson finished fourth, fifth, and eighth in the 400-meter dash, clocking times of 51.16, 51.63, ad 53.04, respectively.
 
Lucas Heldman took seventh in the 400-meter hurdles with a PR of 1:01.47.
 
Indy Lyness was the runner up in the 800-meter run after posting a season-best time of 1:57.75. Emerson Lange (seventh) and Ronen Silberman (ninth) finished in a personal-best 1:59.43 and season-best 2:01.32, respectively.
 
The field events saw a pair of runner-up results. Heldman took second in the high jump after clearing 1.80 meters, and Dash Schwab was second in the javelin with heave of 49.57 meters.
 
Jackson Reade was seventh in the long jump (5.90 meters), and Ansel Wallace placed fourth in the pole vault with a height of 3.60 meters.

Carleton is slated to go to the Joe Sweeney Invitational on Wednesday, April 29. That meet will be held at the University of St. Thomas.
