NORTHFIELD, Minn. — The Carleton College men's swimming & diving team dominated from start to finish Saturday, winning 14 of 16 events, as the Knights rolled to a 215-81 dual meet victory over Macalester College.
"What an incredible finish to our fall competitions," said Carleton associate head coach
Brooke Plotz. "The teams' energy and enthusiasm were fantastic, and the focus of the past few weeks is clearly paying off. I'm excited to carry this momentum into winter break."
The Knights opened the day with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, as
Nicholas Chang,
Alex Lee,
Warren Kozak and
Neil Tollefson combined for a 1:37.42 finish. Kozak and Tollefson joined with
Thor Pearson and
John Rosseel to close the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:17.84).
Chang added a pair of solo victories, taking the 200 backstroke (1:58.78) and 200 individual medley (2:03.96) in addition to his relay contributions. Tollefson swept the sprint freestyle events, winning the 50 free (22.37) and 100 free (49.96).
Matthew Krogman won both distance events, capturing the 1000 freestyle (10:19.84) and 500 free (4:58.05). Other winners included Pearson in the 200 freestyle (1:50.10),
Alex Lee in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.89), and
Jackson Rankin in both the 100 (53.13) and 200 butterfly (2:00.98).
On the boards,
Hans Anderson won both the 1-meter (272.75) and 3-meter (319.40) competitions and posted his second NCAA Diving Regional qualifying scores on both boards.

Carleton hosts the 20th annual Ted Mullin "Hour of Power" Swim Relay for Sarcoma Research. The nationwide event to raise awareness will be held at Thorpe Pool (and pools and natatoriums across the country) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
