POST-CARLETON GOAL(S)…
After Carleton, I plan to continue learning as a graduate student as I pursue a PhD in Economics. Once I'm out of school, I plan to work as a teacher or bureaucrat.

I CHOSE TO COME TO CARLETON BECAUSE…
The people. Although I visited many schools, the people at Carleton were the most genuine and kind of all the schools I visited.

WHAT I MOST LIKE ABOUT CARLETON IS…
My favorite thing about Carleton is the social life structure. Although the academics are obviously incredible (and I likely would not have considered Carleton without them), the best thing about Carleton to me is how easy it is to interact with people across many different groups. Although I am close with the team socially, that doesn't restrict me from hanging out with friends outside of the team through other clubs and social events, and I believe most Carleton students are in a similar situation where they bridge numerous social groups so no one is confined to a single clique.

INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
I did research with a Carleton professor in the Economics department in which I helped clean data and write a methodology paper.

MY INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ENHANCED MY EXPERIENCE AS A CARLETON STUDENT-ATHLETE BECAUSE…
My summer research experience helped me grow my data cleaning and teamwork skills in ways that will be useful as I continue on to graduate school. The process of writing and publishing a paper also gave me framework to follow if I ever pursue my own research.
