NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track & field team sent a small contingent to compete at the St. Olaf Ole Open. This was the last meet before next week's MIAC Outdoor Championships.
Ethan Cline-Cole placed second in the triple jump. His best measurement came on his first attempt as he soared 11.92 meters.
Liam Kennedy finished third in the 400-meter dash, clocking a time of 51.05. This was the fifth consecutive meet during which he improved on his time in this event.
Asher Nathan clocked a time of 51.56 to take sixth place, and
Josh Wu posted a time of 56.02 in his first attempt at this distance.
Hugh Shanno won his heat of the 100-meter dash and placed eighth overall with a time of 11.84.
Nathan placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.00. Kennedy (23.66), Shanno (23.96), and Wu (25.04) also raced the event.
Chris Melville (PR of 2:00.96),
Emerson Lange (PR of 2:01.65),
Ben Mazor (2:06.23), and
Andreas Miller (PR of 2:10.75) each raced the 800-meter distance.
Tim Adams and
Ansel Wallace took part in the pole vault, clearing 3.55 meters and 3.10 meters, respectively.

Carleton heads to the MIAC Outdoor Championships to be held at Hamline University on May 10-11.
