MANKATO, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track and field program finished seventh at the 10-team Ted Nelson Classic hosted by Minnesota State-Mankato. The Knights totaled 27 points thanks to five top-10 results.
In the 400-meter dash,
Asher Nathan came in third place with a collegiate-best time of 51.80, which ranks him No. 8 in the MIAC.
In the mile run,
Indy Lyness came in second place, finishing the event in a personal-best 4:19.40. He was the lone NCAA Division III racer among the top 17 finishers.
Roy Llewellyn completed the 3000-meter run in a season-best 8:39.54 as he took second place. He ranks No. 5 in the MIAC.
Ethan Ash added a fourth-place result in the 600-meter run, crossing the line at Ethan 1:23.48.
Ben Mazor was the top D-III runner in the 1000-meter race, placing 10th at 2:45.81.
Next Up for the Knights
Carleton will host the program's lone home competition of the indoor season — the Meet of the Hearts — on Saturday, Feb. 10.
