NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College women's track & field team participated in the Tostrud Classic this weekend, winning three events with six additional top-5 finishes at the final tune-up before the MIAC Indoor Championships.
Carleton had the top-3 finishers in the mile run, with
Phoebe Ward winning the race at a new PR of 5:10.01.
Aliya Larsen and
Libby Rowland came across the line second and third with times of 5:14.26 (personal best) and 5:18.37, respectively.
In the 4x200-meter relay, a squad of Knights came in second place.
Riley Roberts,
Bianca Lott,
Michelle Musa, and
Natalie Berman-Schneider finished the event in 1:55.04.
Hadley Twichell earned third place in the 400-meter dash after recording a time of 1:04.01.
Lara Erickson prevailed in the 600-meter run with a winning time of 1:40.50.
Alice Cutter took third place at 1:47.17.
Mary Blanchard won the 1000-meter run, finishing the event in a personal-best 2:56.82, more than eight seconds faster than the runner-up.
The Knights' 4x400-meter relay finished fourth as Cutter, Blanchard, Rowland, and Larsen combined on a time of 4:23.52
