DES MOINES, Iowa — The Carleton College women's track & field program sent two runners— Claire Vukovics and Hannah Preisser—to compete in distance races at the Drake Relays.
 
Vukovics posted a time of 18:05.75 in the open 5000-meter run, finishing 13th. Preisser took sixth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 36:33.47.
 
A total of 27 competitors took part in the seeded and unseeded 5000-meter races, with 14 of them coming from NCAA Division I programs. Vukovics was 1 of only 2 NCAA D-III runners in the race. Meanwhile, the 10K race saw 23 entrants, including nine NCAA Division I runners.
