NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track & field team won three events at the Ole Open, an unscored meet that served as the Knights' final tune up in preparation for the MIAC Outdoor Championships.
Brett Hanley (So./Bellevue, Wash./Newport) won the 3000-meter steeplechase with his personal-best time of 10:00.12.
The other event victories came in field events as
Ian Mortensen (Jr./Seattle, Wash./Shorecrest) had the top measurement in the javelin (season-best 54.24 meters)—in fact he had the top three throws of the event—and
Ethan Cline-Cole (So./Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Trinity School) measured a personal-record 12.24 meters in the triple jump.
Carleton had a six other top-3 results.

Liam Kennedy (Jr./St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central) was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash as with a time of 50.39, trimming nearly a second off his previous personal best. He also took third place at the 200-meter distance, crossing the line at 23.14.
• Cline-Cole and
Aravindh Subramanian (Sr./Dayton, N.J./South Brunswick) tied for second place in the high jump after clearing 1.73 meters.

Tim Adams (So./Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) took third in the pole vault as he matched his overall PR and set a new outdoors personal best of 3.88 meters.

Theo Demetriades (Fy./Pasadena, Calif./Polytechnic School) measured 5.63 meters in the long jump to earn third place.

Carleton will compete at the 2023 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 12-13. This year's conference meet will be held at Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minn.
