The PEAR Department is taking this opportunity to recognize and celebrate the seniors on our spring sports teams. While we are sad that we were unable to watch them compete this season, we are excited about what the future holds for each of them. Keep checking back in the coming weeks as we take the time to highlight each of these individuals. Click here for our Senior Spotlight archive.

What are your plans after graduation?    Â
I plan to complete a few more pre-requisite courses so I can enroll in medical school.
Â
What was your favorite sports moment at Carleton?     Â
My favorite sports moment was when we swept Saint John's in a doubleheader. They were ranked 30th in the nation at the time.
Â
Why did you choose Carleton?     Â
Carleton provides a unique opportunity to balance athletics and academics. I also liked the laid-back atmosphere on campus when I visited.
Â
Outside of athletics, what will you miss most about Carleton? Â
I will miss getting to spend time with my friends and teammates. We have all gotten so close over the years.
Â
What else has your Carleton experience included?        Â
I studied abroad in Moscow and did research on neuroblastoma at the University of Minnesota.
Â
What is one piece of advice you would give to prospective student-athletes? Â Â
Make sure to balance your social life. It can be easy to just spend time with people who are on your team, but you will have a much better overall experience if you also find friends outside of athletics.
Â
What is a favorite memory you have of your head coach?
My favorite memory of my head coach was our team's Valentine's Day tradition. Every year, he would trick us into thinking that we had to do a huge conditioning workout to get in shape for the season. After the first lap around the track, he would stop the conditioning and give us milk and cookies. No one really fell for it after their freshman year, but it was always fun to see how the freshman would react.

Quote from Coach Aaron Rushing:
"One of the hardest workers we've ever had. Wilson overcame a history of arm issues with a work ethic that was second to none, and as a result, he became one of the top two-way players in the MIAC. He did all this while being a Russian major on a pre-med track and spending a fall studying abroad in Russia. He was certainly not one to shy away from a challenge."
