MONTICELLO, Minn. – The Carleton College men's golf team earned a fifth-place finish at the SJU Spring Invitational. Gordon Walker finished tied for fourth place on the leaderboard in a field of 84 golfers.
 
Walker carded an even-par 70 in Sunday's round and concluded the tournament at two-under-par (70-71=141). His day included an eagle on the par-five 12th hole. Walker was the only player with two eagles in the tournament.
 
Sam Higaki paced the Knights in the final round with a 70 (-1) for a tourney total of two-over par (75-70=145). He finished the day with a total of three birdies and moved into a tie for 13th place.
 
Justin Rodriguez was three-over par on the day with two birdies to finish the weekend at +5 (74-74=148) and tied for 26th place.
 
Dillon Croco rounded out the scoring for the Knights, shooting a 75. He concluded the tournament at +7 (75-75=150).
 
Austin Mak finished with an 81 (+10) on Sunday and ended the weekend at 160 (+17).
 
Oscar Peche played as an individual entrant and shot two-over par on the day. He moved into a tie for 34th place, finishing the tournament at +7 (77-73=150)
 
No. 20 Gustavus Adolphus College won the tournament at +2 (111), followed by host Saint John's University at +5 (111). The Knights, No. 35 in the Scoreboard by Clippd rankings, compiled a team score of 584 (+12, 294-290), finishing in fifth place.
