MINNEAPOLIS – Carleton College rookie Lauren Tittel finished in fourth place for the 800-meter run at the Gary Wilson Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
 
The 59-runner field included seven active NCAA Division I racers and another 18 from NCAA D-II programs.
 
Tittel clocked a personal-best time of 2:15.63, more than two seconds better than her previous season-best and nearly four seconds better than the next-closest Division III runner.

Carleton will have two student-athletes compete at the Drake Relays on Thursday, April 23. Claire Vukovics will take part in the 5,000-meter run, and Hannah Preisser will toe the line for the 10,000-meter run.
