MINNEAPOLIS – The Carleton College men's track & field team sent a small contingent to compete at the Gary Wilson Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
Asher Nathan took 31st place as she crossed the finish line in the 200-meter dash at a personal-best 22.07. The 43-runner field included 17 runners from NCAA Division I squads and another 12 from D-II programs.
Reece Anderson earned eighth place in the javelin throw as his first attempt of the day measured 50.19 meters. Five of the seven finishers ahead of Anderson are members of NCAA D-I programs.
Soren Kaster tied for fifth place in the pole vault—behind two D-I athletes and another from a D-II program—after clearing 4.28 meters.
James Gates was seventh at 4.13 meters, while
Reed White took eighth at 3.98 meters.
Up Next for the Knights
Carleton heads to Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on April 24-25. The meet is held at Macalester College.
