LE SUEUR, Minn. – Carleton's men's golf team climbed three spots into a tie for fourth after 36 holes on Sunday at the Bobby Krig Invite.
 
Justin Rodriguez and Gordon Walker led the Knights and tied for 10th place among the field of 97 golfers. Rodriguez shot one over par in each of his rounds on the day, bringing his 54-hole total to 221 (+8, 77-72-72). Walker's day included an eagle on hole No. 5 and was four-over-par on the day (+8, 75-72-74).
 
Sam Higaki had rounds of 70 and 72 to finish even-par on day two and move into a tie for 13th place. Higaki also shot an eagle on hole No. 5 and had five birdies over the 36 holes for a tourney total of 222 (+9, 80-70-72).
 
Rounding out the team scoring was Dillon Croco, who finished tied for 30th after rounds of 74 and 77 on Sunday. His final score for the weekend was 229 (+16).
 
Carleton also entered two individuals in the field. Austin Mak carded two rounds of 76 on Sunday, and Gareth Birney, finished with an 81 and 79 on the final day.
 
The host team, No. 23 Gustavus Adolphus College, won the tournament by 15 strokes with a team score of 871 (+19). The runner-up team was No. 38 Bethel University, with a three-round total score of 886 (+34), followed by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 888 (+36). The Knights, No. 33 in the Scoreboard by Clippd rankings, compiled a team score of 890 (+38, 309-288-293), tying for fourth place with St. Olaf College.
