Kiley Pickens was selected as the MIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week. It is the second conference weekly award of her career.
Pickens won twice in both singles and doubles to propel Carleton to a 2-0 week and a berth in the upcoming MIAC Playoffs. She started the week with a pair of victories over crosstown rival St. Olaf, prevailing 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles while teaming with
Gabriela Cilella for a 7-6, (7-4) victory at No. 2 doubles. Pickens sparked the Knights to a win over No. 24-ranked Bethel thanks to a 6-4, 6-2 triumph in singles and a 6-4 win alongside Cilella in doubles. Pickens is now 13-2 in singles this season and 9-1 in doubles.
Carleton visits No. 18 Gustavus Adolphus College for a 3:00 p.m. match on Saturday, April 18.
