Baseball snags ninth Team Academic Excellence Award from ABCA

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For a MIAC-best ninth time of the last 10 years, the Carleton College baseball team scored the America Baseball Coaches Association's (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award.

Programs coached by ABCA members were honored with this year's award if they posted a combined team GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire school year. During the 2024-25 academic year, the Knights easily exceeded past that benchmark as they posted a 3.65 team grade-point average, the program's highest mark since the inception of the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2015-16 school year.

There were 935 baseball programs across the three divisions of the NCAA (D-I, D-II, and D-III) in 2025, and Carleton is 1 of only 56 schools to collect at least nine ABCA academic awards.

Earlier this summer, 17 members of the Knights roster were named to the Academic All-MIAC list (min. 3.50 cumulative GPA).
