COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – 
Soren Kaster and 
James Gates both collected All-MIAC status in the pole vault to lead the Carleton College men's track & field team on the final day of competition at the MIAC Indoor Championships. The Knights finished ninth in the 11-team competition after accumulating 46 points.
 
Kaster established a new season best as he cleared 4.56 meters, while Gates' top clearance measured 4.36 meters. 
Reese Anderson also competed in the event, tying for 13
th place with a height of 3.71 meters.
 
Gabe Nichols finished seventh in the 3000-meter run, covering the distance in 8:36.04. 
Travis Brown, 
Torte Torstenson, 
Nathaniel Malchow, and 
Ryan Bernstein also competed in the event, placing 19th, 21st, 22nd, and 24th, respectively. Brown (8:56.04), Torstenson (9:00.46), and Malchow (9:06.39) all established new personal bests, while Bernstein finished at 9:10.11.
 
Daniel Scheider and 
Josh Meier both scored team points for the Knights in the 600-meter dash. Scheider finished seventh in a personal-best time of 1:22.84, while Meier took eighth in a season-best 1:23.11.
 
Emerson Lange competed in the 1000-meter run, clocking a time of 2:40.80 to place 23rd overall.
 
Ethan Cline-Cole placed 13th in the triple jump after measuring 12.35 meters on his first attempt.
 
The Knights wrapped up the conference championships with an All-MIAC honorable mention performance in the 4x400-meter relay. 
Asher Nathan, 
James Alexander, Meier, and Scheider combined on a season-best time of 3:26.55 to take fourth place.
