NORTHFIELD, Minn. –
Nora Daley,
Lara Erickson, and
Sophie McManus each won a race as Carleton Women's Track & Field competed at the Tostrud Classic hosted by St. Olaf College. Nine schools participated in the meet, which serves as the final tune-up before next week's MIAC Championships.
The Knights turned in eight top-5 results.
Daley won the mile run, which included 28 racers across two heats. She clocked a winning time of 5:16.78; Erickson prevailed in the 600-meter run, clocking a time of 1:39.60 to win by more than three seconds; and McManus was first to the line in the 1000-meter run with a new personal-best time of 3:02.22.
Charlotte Kusch finished second in the 400-meter run, crossing the line at 1:01.13.
Bianca Lott and
Michelle Musa finished third and fifth, respectively, in the 60-meter dash. They both registered new PRs in the event. Lott posted a time of 8.17, while Musa finished in 8.43.
Kayla Marx took fourth place in the 800-meter run, covering the distance in 2:24.86.
Lott was back on the track for the 200-meter dash and earned a fourth-place finish, crossing the line at 27.55.

The MIAC Indoor Championships will be held Feb. 28-March 1 at the McNeeley Spectrum at Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minn.
