BOSTON – Carleton College junior Gabe Nichols raced the mile on Friday at the prestigious David Hemery Valentine Invite hosted by Boston University.
 
The race, held at the BU Track & Tennis Center, included 384 runners spread across 27 heats. Nichols finished 321st with a time of 4:22.72. Nine of the 16 racers in his heat came from NCAA Division I programs.
 
Up Next for the Knights
The bulk of the Carleton roster will compete at the Maverick Premier #2 on Saturday, Feb. 15. That competition is hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato.
