MANKATO, Minn. –
Libby Rowland and
Kayla Marx both posted a pair of top-10 finishes to lead the Carleton College women's track & field team to 13
th in the standings at the Mark Schuck Open hosted by Minnesota State - Mankato. The 24-team field included a pair of NCAA Division I programs and eight additional D-II squads.
Carleton totaled eight top-20 results on the track:
•
Charlotte Kusch finished seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.05.
•
Lara Erickson and
Celia Silverstein were the top two finishers in their heat and placed fourth and sixth overall, respectively, in the 600-meter run. Erickson crossed the line at 1:40.80, while Silverstein finished at 1:41.58.
• Rowland,
Nora Daley, and Marx finished in seventh, eighth, and 10th places, respectively, in the 1,000-meter run. Rowland crossed the line at 3:09.53, with Daley coming across at 3:09.80 and Marx at 3:10.04.
• Rowland and Marx were eighth and ninth across the line in the mile run, posting times of 5:14.30 and 5:14.72, respectively. This was a season-best for Rowland and the second-fastest time of her career, while Marx trimmed five seconds off her previous personal record.
