Four Knights named to CSC Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Four members of the Carleton College volleyball team were named to the 2025 Academic All-District Team as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Seniors Ella Curtis-Revelle and Sylvia Dixon along with juniors Jennifer Bricker and Megan Smith were each repeat recipients of this award.

Each school can nominate a select number of student-athletes that meet the following criteria:
• at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (a benchmark each of these four Knights easily surpassed)
• compete in at least 90 percent of the institution's games or start at least 66 percent of the contests
• at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Curtis-Revelle, a psychology major with minors in public policy and Spanish, appeared in 23 matches as a libero/defensive specialist and paced the Knights with a career-high 238 digs (3.01 per set to rank 16th in the MIAC). She also finished top-three on the roster in assists (career-best 40) and service aces (17). She collected double-digit digs in 11 matches, including a career-high 32 digs against Whitman College on Aug. 29.

Dixon, a history major with a minor in philosophy, earned All-Conference recognition for the third consecutive time as she received All-MIAC Honorable Mention this fall. She started all 25 matches this season and paced the Knights with a career-best 2.68 kills per set to rank 13th in the MIAC. Her 2.92 points per set ranked 16th in the conference, while her 1.73 digs per set also established a new career high and ranked her fifth among players on the roster that played in more than 30 sets. Dixon registered double-doubles against University of Minnesota-Morris (15 kills, 11 digs), Macalester College (12 kills, 11 digs), and St. Catherine University (18 kills, 11 digs). She notched her fourth career-match with at least 20 kills, leading the Knights to a five-set victory over Marian University. Her 19 services aces were second-most on the roster

Bricker, a history major with a German minor, started 24 matches at middle blocker. She finished the year 72 kills and a .171 attack percentage during conference matches to rank among MIAC leaders. She paced the Knights with 35 total blocks, including seven rejections during the Oct. 25 match vs. UW-La Crosse.

Smith, a biology major with minors in biochemistry and music, served as the Knights' primary setter, finishing with 618 assists—sixth-best in the MIAC—and a team-best 27 service aces. She added 212 digs to rank fourth on the roster and factored in 15 blocks. Smith totaled seven double-doubles (assists and digs), including a season-best 45 assists versus both Bethany Lutheran and Saint Mary's. She averaged 6.65 assists per set to rank seventh in the MIAC and added 2.28 digs per set, making her 1 of only 5 players in the conference to average more than 6.3 assists and 2.25 digs per set during league play.
