Gordon Walker and
Sam Higaki are in the top five on the leaderboard after Sunday's round two of the Twin Cities Classic, played at Le Sueur Country Club. As a team, Carleton College men's golf is currently tied for fifth place out of 16 teams.
The host team, Gustavus Adolphus College, remains in the lead with a team score of 586 (+26, 293+293). They hold a fourteen-shot lead over second-place Lake Forest College at 600 (+40, 304+296). Bethel University is in third place at 602 (+42, 307+295), followed by Concordia College (MN) at 604 (+44, 300+304) in fourth place. At +46, the Knights (301+305=606) are in a three-way tie for fifth place with Nebraska Wesleyan University (300+306=606) and Saint John's University (306+300=606).
Walker played the front nine at three-over-par, then ended his round with an eagle, par, and birdie. The senior finished the day at one-over-par and is in second place with an overall total of 143 (+3, 72+71). Walker is one shot behind the leader, Christopher Gutuza of Gustavus.
Higaki is currently in fourth place after carding a 74 in Sunday's round. The junior had a trio of bogeys in the middle of his round, then finished with birdie, bogey, par, ending the day at four-over-par. Higaki is three shots off the lead at 145 (+5, 71+74).
Junior
Justin Rodriguez is currently at sixteen-over-par and tied for 42nd place. His total after 36 holes is 156 (77+79).
Sophomore
Dillon Croco added to the Knights' scorecard on Sunday. Croco's round included an eagle on the par five No. 12. His total after two rounds is 162 (+22, 81+81).
First-year
Austin Mak had a round of twelve-over-par and is at 163 (+23, 81+82).
First-year
Oscar Peche, playing as an individual, finished his second round at four-over-par. Peche's round included ten straight pars. His 36-hole total is 152 (+12, 78+74).
Sophomore
Gareth Birney, also competing as an individual entrant, had three birdies in his round of nine-over-par 79. Birney's total is 158 (+18, 79+79).

Round three will be played on Monday at Minnesota Valley Country Club in Bloomington, Minn. Carleton will tee off at 10:00am.
