MIRAMAR BEACH, Florida – After day two of the Golfweek Fall Invitational, the Carleton College men's golf team is tied for thirteenth place. The event is being held at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Florida.
Trinity University moved into first place with a team score of 573 (+5), followed closely by Mary Hardin-Baylor at 574 (+6). The third-place team is Southwestern University at 577 (+9). The Knights shot 293 as a team, bringing their score for the two rounds to 591 (+23).
Junior
Justin Rodriguez carded a one-over-par 72 and is currently tied for fifth place among the field of 120 golfers. Today's shotgun start had the Knights opening the day on the tenth hole. Rodriguez played his first nine holes at three-over-par, then played the front nine two-under-par with birdies on the second and ninth holes. His current score is 142 (E, 70+72).
Sam Higaki also shot a one-over-par 72 on the day and is in a tie for 30th place. The junior's total for the two days is 147 (+5, 75+72).
Senior
Gordon Walker completed his day with a two-over-par 73. His total stands at 154 (+12, 81+73).
First-year
Austin Mak is also at 154 over the two days after shooting four-over-par in Monday's second round (+12, 78+76).
Sophomore
Dillon Croco shot a round of 82, bringing his current total to 157 (+15, 75+82).
