LE SUEUR, Minn. - The Carleton College men's golf team won the team title at the Twin Cities Classic in a field of 17 teams. The competition was held at a different course each day with round three being held at Le Sueur Country Club. Sophomore Justin Rodriguez was the tournament's medalist, winning for the second consecutive week.

The Knights concluded the three-round tournament with a final score of 878 (295-283-300). They battled and moved up a spot each day to win the tournament by one stroke. The second-place team was No. 16 Bethel University at 879 (291-287-301), followed by No. 24 Gustavus Adolphus (302-290-290). The Gusties carded the best round three finish of any team to move into third place with a total score of 882. Nebraska Wesleyan was in the lead to start the final round, but fell to fourth place with a total score of 892 (290-287-315).

"The men played a great event all weekend long" said Carleton head coach Sloan Wallgren. "It was a total team win. There were three top-25 teams in the event, and we hope to carry this momentum into the MIAC Championships next weekend."

Rodriguez carded a 71 (+1) to finish the tournament at even par (70+73+71=214), good for a one-stroke margin of victory. He had three birdies in the final round.

Sam Higaki earned a fourth-place finish at +4 (73+68+77=218). His 68 in round two was the second-lowest round of the tournament.

Gordon Walker finished at +9 (74+75+74=223) and tied for 13th place in the field of 100 golfers. Walker shot an eagle on the par-5 16th hole in Monday's round. 

Ryan Choi ended the round with a birdie as he concluded the tournament at +17 (78+71+82=231).

Dillon Croco finished at +18 for the three-day tournament (83+71+78=232).
