RAMSEY, Minn. – The Carleton College men's golf team moved up one spot and is tied for second place in the 17-team field after the second round of the Twin Cities Classic.
Sam Hiaki carded a four-under par 68 and is tied for second place.
Nebraska Wesleyan maintained its lead and has a 36-hole score of 577 (+1). Carleton had a team score of 283 (-5) on Sunday, giving them an overall total of 578 (+2). The Knights are tied with No. 16 Bethel University and are one shot behind the leaders. In a fourth-place tie at 587 (+11) are Gustavus Adolphus "B" team and No. 14 Saint John's University.
Higaki (-3, 73+68=141) eagled the 10th hole and finished with birdies on three of the final four holes on his way to an impressive 32 on the back nine. His score of 68 on the day moved him into a two-way tie for second place in the field of 100 golfers.
Justin Rodriguez (-1, 70+73=143) was one-over on the day and is tied for fifth place. He is one of seven golfers with a total score under par after round two.
Ryan Choi (+5, 78+71=149) and
Gordon Walker (+5, 74+75=149) are in a group tied for 25th place. The teammates each had four birdies on the day.
Dillon Croco (+10, 83+71=154) carded a one-under par on Sunday in a round that included five birdies and moved into the top half of the field.

Round three will be played on Monday at Le Sueur Country Club. Carleton will tee off at 10:00am.
