ST. PAUL, Minn. – A half-dozen members of the Carleton College men's track & field program raced the 5000-meter distance at the Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational at Macalester College on Thursday evening.
Chris Melville placed eighth in the 45-runner field for the event, posting a time of 15:45.46.
Simon Chambers-Trubatch finished 11 at 15:51.95, an improvement of more than a minute from his previous PR.
Ryan Bernstein (16:17.19) also notched a new personal best, while
Andrew Jamison turned in a season-best of 16:24.89.
Nathaniel Malchow raced the distance for the first time and crossed the line at 16:33.45, while
Phoebe Lemann set a new PR at 16:53.58.
Up Next for the Knights
The rest of the roster will compete on Saturday, April 27 on Day 2 of the Janis Rider/Doug Bolstorff Invitational. Field events begin at 10:00 a.m. with racing on the track starting an hour later.
