NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track & field team competed at the Tostrud Classic. The Knights turned in eight top-5 results in their final meet before the MIAC Indoor Championships.
Gabe Nichols was the runner up in the mile run, covering the distance in 4:15.31.
Ethan Ash and
Asher Nathan placed second and third, respectively, in the 400-meter dash. Ash's time of 51.15 ranks him No. 16 on Carleton's all-time list. Nathan completed the race in 52.39.
Indy Lyness earned third place in the 800-meter run, running the event in a personal-best 1:56.66, which moved him into 10th place in program history.
Nathan notched his second third-place of the meet when he posted a time of 23.56 in the 200-meter dash.
Ethan Cline-Cole took third in the high jump, clearing 1.78 meters.
Soren Kaster came in third for the pole vault, clearing 4.25 meters on his second attempt for a 7-inch improvement in his collegiate best. That performance moved him into eighth place in school history.
Noah Morris secured fourth place in the weight throw, measuring a personal-best 10.92 meters
