MINNEAPOLIS – Thanks to a pair of all-conference relays, the Carleton College men's swimming & diving program sits fourth of out six teams after Day 1 of the 2024 MIAC Championships.
In the 200-yard medley relay, a Knights' entry of
Ethan Tun,
Josh Wu,
Jackson Rankin, and
Sam Glaubitz took earned All-MIAC recognition after finishing third with a time of 1:33.17. Carleton was out-touched by rival St. Olaf by 0.04 second.
For the second consecutive year the 800-yard freestyle relay of
Ian Scott, Wu, Tun, and Glaubitz posted a third-place finish. They finished the event with a time of 6:55.01 and earned all-conference status.
Sebastian Lee took 10th and earned seven team points for the Knights after he scored 304.20 points during the prelims of the 3-meter diving competition.
Up Next for the Knights
On day two of the conference meet, Carleton will compete in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, and 400-yard medley relay. Prelims begin at 10:30 a.m. with finals slated for a 6:30 p.m. start.
