NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College women's track & field team hosted the Meet of the Hearts on Saturday. The Knights won five events as they posted 17 top-five results.
Mary Blanchard won the mile event with a season-best time of 5:07.36.
Nora Daley came in second place, finishing the event in a collegiate-best 5:15.74.
In the 55-meter dash,
Bianca Lott and
Riley Roberts came in fourth and fifth, respectively, with times of 7.851 and 7.855.
Hadley Twichell registered a third-place result in the 400-meter dash, finishing the event in 1:03.71.
Carleton had the top two finishers in the 800-meter run.
Lara Erickson won the event with a time of 2:22.30.
Alice Cutter took second with a time of 2:25.24.
The same result happened in the 1000-meter run, with another pair of Knights taking the top two slots.
Libby Rowland won with a time of 3:10.46, while Daley was the second-place finisher with a time of 3:11.78.
In the 200-meter dash, Twichell turned in another third-place performance with a time of 27.69. Roberts found her way into the mix again, finishing the event in 27.851, good for fourth place as she edged a Bethany Lutheran racer by 0.001 second.
The Knights dominated the 3,000-meter race, securing the top-four places with persona-best times.
Helen Cross won the event with a time of 9:48.85.
Phoebe Ward (9:55.21) edged
Hannah Preisser (9:55.68) for second place.
Sophie McManus took fourth place at 9:57.16. Those times currently rank the quartet 13th, 20th, 23rd, and 24 thin the country, respectively.
Aliya Larsen (seventh at 10:17.52) and
Maggie Votruba (11:21.78) also posted personal-best times for the 3K race.
Neenah Bosman won the weight throw with a season-best toss of 13.62 meters.
Carleton capped the running events with the Knights' fifth victory of the meet. Blanchard,
Emma Trojan, Cutter, and Erickson won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:18.79.

Carleton has two meets on the schedule for next weekend. The Minnesota State Maverick Invitational on Friday, Feb. 16 and the Tostrud Classic hosted by St. Olaf on Saturday, Feb. 17.
