MANKATO, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track & field team sent two runners to compete at the Bearson/Gathje Classic, the Knights' first competition of 2024.
 
Ethan Ash clinched the top spot in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:36.9. Meanwhile, Soren Kaster also represented Carleton during the meet hosted by Minnesota State Mankato. Kaster finished in seventh place with a time of 2:53.8. He is aiming to be a heptathlete this winter, and in order to qualify for the conference championships, he needs to complete in all seven events at some point during the indoor season.
