ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Carleton College men's track & field team sent a quartet to race the 1500-meter distance at the Joe Sweeney Invitational hosted by University of St. Thomas. All four Knights registered either personal or season bests for the event.
Roy Llewellyn (Fy./Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) placed third overall with a new personal-record time of 3:58.83.
Elijah Jones (Sr./Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) was a half-second behind, finishing fourth at 3:59.32, also a new PR.
Emerson Lange (Fy./Woodside, Calif./Nueva) shaved more than 5.7 seconds off his previous personal best, this time covering the distance in 4:09.97 to take 13th place.
Avery Watts (Sr./Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southeast) posted a season-best time of 4:15.62, finishing 15th overall.

Reese Anderson (Fy./Frontenac, Minn./Lake City) will compete in the MIAC Decathlon on Thursday-Friday, May 4-5 at Laird Stadium. Several other team members will compete at the St. Olaf Ole Open on Saturday, May 6, the Knights' final tune-up before the MIAC Outdoor Championships on May 12-13.
