SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Three members of the Carleton College men's track & field team competed at the Mangrum Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos.
Henry Bowman (Sr./Lafayette, Colo./Centaurus) made his outdoor season debut and turned in Carleton's highest placement of the trio. He took sixth out of 21 racers in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 31:11.76, more than 21 seconds faster than he ran at last year's MIAC Outdoor Championships.
Gabe Nichols (Fy./Grove City, Penn./Grove City) raced to a ninth-place result out of 43 runners in the 5K. He clocked a time of 14:53.21, slicing more than 6.5 seconds off his previous personal best.
Reese Anderson (Fy./Frontenac, Minn./Lake City) clocked a time of 2:00.91 in the 800-meter run. That was good for 16th out of 34 racers.

Carleton will head 40 miles south to compete at the Point Loma Invitational on Saturday, March 25.
