NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men's swimming & diving team won 9 of 13 races during the Cows, Colleges, and Contentment Classic.
The meet was unscored and included swimmers and divers from Carleton, St. Olaf, and UW-La Crosse as well as divers from St. Cloud State University (NCAA D-II).
The Knights opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay as
Ethan Tun,
Alex Lee,
Jackson Rankin, and
Josh Wu combined on a winning time of 1:39.04.
Wu was back in the water soon after to register the win in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.50).
Tun prevailed in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.07 and later added victory in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:15.36).
Lee won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.59, and
Aiden Johnson notched a seven-second margin of victory in the 200-yard butterfly, covering the distance in 2:02.17.
Nicolas Chang was first to the wall in both the 200-yard backstroke and 400-yard IM. At the shorter distance, he finished in 1:15.16, which was good for an eight-second margin of victory. In the longer race, he posted a time of 4:23.49.
Sam Glaubitz registered the other triumph for Carleton, winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:05.82.
