NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men's cross country team finished fifth of 18 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday.
 
Junior Travis Brown led the Knights with a 23rd place finish, crossing the line at 26:08.2. Sophomore Gus Schafer was 25th at 26:13.4.
 
First-year Nik Abrahamson was next to finish for Carleton, placing 30th overall with a time of 2617.8.
 
Sophomore Martin Moshfeghi posted a time of 26:27.8 to place 37th, and classmate Dashiell Coyier rounded out the scoring for the Knights in 52nd place with a time of 26:50.7.
 
NCAA Division I program South Dakota State won the team competition with a score of 24 points. St. Olaf running on its home course was next at 94 points, followed by UW-River Falls (122 points), University of Manitoba (143), and Carleton (148).
 
Up Next for the Knights
Carleton will host the Running of the Cows, this year's Pre-National meet on Saturday, Oct. 3. There will be two men's races, with the Navy Championship Division at 12:00 p.m. followed by the Maize Division race at 1:00 p.m.
