NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College men's cross country team finished second of 11 teams at the 2026 MIAC Championships.
This time St. Olaf won the team title with 36 points, with Carleton (88 points) edging Saint John's University (92 points) for second place. The Knights now have seven top-2 results at the last nine conference championships, including four titles during that span.
"After graduating our top three runners from last year's team, we were expected to drop in the MIAC ranks," said Carleton head coach
Dave Ricks. "This year's team decided to do something about it by putting in a great summer of running. All of those miles paid off today. Newcomers
Malcolm Richardson and
Tai Brown had great days. Sophomore
Martin Moshfeghi missed most of last year and really came on this year."
Junior
Travis Brown (25:47.9) and Richardson (25:56.8) earned All-MIAC recognition after finishing 10th and 14th in the field of 178 runners. Moshfeghi (26:10.4) and junior
Ravi Achar (26:30.3) took home All-MIAC Honorable Mention as the duo placed 19th and 24th overall, respectively.

Over the course of his career, Chambers-Trubatch moved up from 118th as a first-year to 81st to 63rd to 38th as a senior.
