FARMINGTON, Minn. - Carleton senior goalkeeper Avery Trapp was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It is the sixth time that she has been tabbed for the weekly honor. 

Trapp registered a pair of shutouts last week, helping Carleton to a 1-0 victory over 2025 NCAA Tournament team Claremont-Mudd Scripps on Sept. 11 and a 3-0 triumph over Simpson College on Sept. 13. The Illinois native made three saves against the Athenas and stopped four shots from the Storm. She leads the MIAC in shutouts (2), goals against average (.333), and save percentage (.947) on the young season.

Carleton's next game is its conference opener, with the Knights traveling to the College of St. Scholastica on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff
