Kate Yi earns first MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week award

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – For the third consecutive week, a member of the Carleton College women's golf program was selected as MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week. This time around, first-year Kate Yi collected the honor.
 
Yi won the St. Kate's Invitational on Sept. 20-21 with a two-round score of 142 (-2). She posted a 2-under par 70 at Eagle Valley Golf Club to open the tournament before carding an even-par 72 at Braemar Golf Course in round two. Yi recorded seven birdies on her way to the first medalist honor of her collegiate career.
 
The Knights next compete on Oct. 4-6 when they tee it up at the MIAC Championships. This year's tournament will be held at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, Minn.
