Knights fourth, Lee and Yuan remain top five following second round of MIAC Championships

EDINA, Minn. — The Carleton women's golf team completed the second round of the 2026 MIAC Championships on Saturday, carding a 319 (+31) at Braemar Golf Course to sit in fourth place in the nine-team field with a two-day total of 626 (307-319).

St. Catherine University solidified its hold on the top spot on the team leaderboard, firing a tournament-best 291 (+3) for a two-round total of 585 (+9) to extend its lead to an unprecedented 24 strokes. Macalester College remains in second place at +33 (302-307 = 609), followed by Gustavus Adolphus College (+40, 308-308 = 616), which slipped ahead of Carleton into third. The Knights hold a four-stroke margin over fifth-place Bethel University (+54, 315-315 = 630).

Junior Anna Lee continued her strong play for the Knights, turning in a one-over-par 73 on Saturday to remain in sole possession of second place on the individual leaderboard at two-under-par 142 (69-73). Lee took advantage of the front nine again on Saturday, racking up three more birdies and made the turn at one-under before a two-over 38 on the back nine secured the one-over 73. The Vernon Hills, Ill., product trails only St. Catherine's Caylin Cantwell, who leads the field at 8-under-par 136 (67-69).

First-year Cindy Yuan sits in a tie for fifth place overall after posting a second-round 77 (+5) to bring her two-day total to four-over-par 148 (71-77). Yuan posted a 39 (+3) on the front nine before coming home in 38 (+2) on the back with one birdie on the day.

Fellow first-year Sarah Han showed a two-stroke improvement with an 84 (+12) to move into a tie for 37th place at 26-over-par 170 (86-84), highlighted by a birdie on the 154-yard par-three third hole. Classmate Angela Yu carded an 85 (+13) to stand in a tie for 34th place at 22-over-par 166 (81-85) and senior Charlotte Darras logged a round of 95 (+23).

Up Next for the Knights
Carleton will conclude play at the 2026 MIAC Championships on Sunday at Braemar Golf Course. The Knights are scheduled to tee off at 10:50am in the final round alongside Bethel and Saint Benedict.
