BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Carleton College forward Ben Pennell was selected as the MIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. This is his second career conference weekly award.
 
The senior forward scored four goals — including two game winners — and added an assist as the Knights went 2-0-1 on the week. He converted a penalty kick for the game's lone goal in a 1-0 win at UC-Santa Cruz on Oct 4 before tallying the second hat trick of his collegiate career the following day in a win over Lincoln University (Calif.). Pennell added an assist in the Oct. 5 contest as well, giving him a career-best 7 points on the day. He now has 11 goals, tying him for first among MIAC players this season.
 
Pennell and the Knights are next in action for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at No. 24 Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, Oct. 11.
