FARIBAULT, Minn. –
Mindy Zhai tied for first place as the No. 19-ranked Carleton College women's golf team won the seven-team Carleton-St. Catherine Spring Invite. The 18-hole competition was held at Legacy Golf Course.
Carleton finished with a team score of 316, two shots clear of both Bethel University and No. 13 St. Catherine University.
Zhai earned her first tournament title as she carded a 3-over par 75, tied with Bethel's Greta McArthur for the top spot on the leaderboard.
Cynthia Lu tied for sixth with a 79 (+7), one stroke ahead of
Carter Sichol, who tied for eighth at 80 (+8).
Sarah Zheng was Carleton's other scorer, carding an 82 (+10) to tie with teammate
Taylor Kang – who played as an individual entrant – for 15th place.
Natalie Tatar needed 83 shots (+11), with
Alyssa Soma (87, +15) and
Olivia Siebert (88, +16) also suiting up for the Knights.
